California AB 1347 Falters

California Bill AB 1347, which proposed stringent regulations on the use of paper receipts in the state, failed to move past Senate Appropriations recently.  The Paper Receipts Converting Assoication (PRCA) hailed the action as a victory for consumers and industry alike.

PRCA noted that this was a victory for the consumers who prefer tangible paper records and also for those who depend on them – especially low-income and underserved communities that rely on coupons which are often printed on receipts.

GCF is proud to be a founding member of PRCA.
