Phenol-Free Grades Available

Over the past 50 years, General Credit Forms has obtained 10 patents on receipt forms and rolls to improve the manufacturing process and make transactions more secure. We’re proud to continue that innovation with the introduction and availability of phenol-free thermal paper grades for POS receipt rolls.

Our paper mill partners have spent years crafting safer and more environmentally friendly thermal coatings while maintaining a high-quality print image. Alongside out standard BPA-free thermal paper, General Credit Forms now has several phenol-free papers available, including an American-made, WMU-certified recyclable grade.

Beginning January 1, 2026, the State of Washington will require all receipt paper to be made from a phenol-free grade, and similar policies are under consideration in other state legislatures. At General Credit Forms, we are committed to staying ahead or regulatory changes while prioritizing customer needs and sustainability.
